I met a new guy, need advice on what you think about him?

Ok so heres the scoope. He is 33 years old divorced, with 4 kids that he lives with one and gets the others every weekend. He wants to be with me, but i am not sure. He takes care of his kids and is very sweet and VERY CUTE. Now i know i cant go by what he looks like and other stuff like that. But he tells me that he wants to take care of me and my kids, and pretty much knows my situation. But i am not sure what to trust anymore because of past experiences. He would love for me to be his wife when it comes down to it. He says all the right things but i have to be cautious. I dont want to get hurt either. But i can be myself around him and he likes it. He doesnt mind alot of stuff i do even when i try to piss him off, he doesnt get mad. i feel happy when i talk to him and i get excited. Yes ladies he does work and makes 43,000 yearly. He does well and he wants to do for me and my children, should i let him, what should i do help me out??????
