I have a OB/GYN appt coming up on Monday the 26th. I will starting my 36th week, would it be wrong to ask my doc to induce by the end of week 37 if baby does not come before?

I am hurting SO bad in my groin that I can hardly walk, roll over or move any more. I really, really hate to complain as I have waited so long for this miracle, but I stay SO mean nowadays and on edge.

I am thankful for the reason for the pain...AKA my sweet lil baby...BUT, I sttil hurt really bad down there. The pain just burns and pulls and shoots pain all across my pubic bone. I take warm baths EVERY day, sometimes twice a day. I sit on a heating pad from time to time, take a tylenol every now and again and NOTHING!

It just comes right back when I get off the pad and out of the bath and Tylenol is like eating candy, w/o sugar!

Speaking of sugar, I really should be walking more since I have GD...BUT....it hurts WWWAAAYY too much!

I really sound ungrateful, BUT I AM NOT! I am so very thankful for my sweet lil boy, but I JUST hurt!

Just wanted thoughts on asking my doc about inducing....is that wrong? Is it better to just let it happen naturally, unless something major were to happen, GOD FORBID????

Thoughts, anyone?

You can ABSOLUTELY ask your doc to induce you, I asked my OB to induce me and he got it scheduled for me and my son was born only a couple of weeks later. If your in that much pain, then they should not have a problem with your request.

The first time I asked i was in lots of pain and so sore the baby's head kept hitting my pelvic bone plus i have big baby's this was my second and my first was two weeks earlier and almost 10 pounds i asked and was told yes and they scheduled it at 38 weeks but now looking back i wish i hadn't, my body truly was not ready for it and it took its toll on me and baby.

the other time i asked i was a week overdue and was told no since my doc was on vacation, when he came back i was 2 weeks overdue and he scheduled it but the baby came on her own 2 days before i was scheduled.

So you can ask but honestly i wouldn't till you are closer to 40 weeks its much more uncomfortable to be induced.

it sounds like you have pubic dysfunction--this is more common than doctors let on---some just shrug it off as being pregnant. its not.i had this  and my doctor told me to not walk ,be on partial bed rest ,get physical therapy, and basically keep legs together. like roll of bed to get out. get in car butt first .some docs will prescribe meds but look into this. my doc would not induce because basically my overall health (other than this ) was fine ,and the baby was fine.i delivered at 42 weeks.. yea it was hell.....just had to deal with it.good luck...oh i have heard some women use walkers to help tem with walking.

I started asking to be induced at 36 weeks with Madyson!!:) My doctor said the earliest they like to induce is 38 weeks, but I'd start asking anyways!! BELIEVE me, I completely understand where you are coming from, Kimmie!! It can't hurt to ask! If you are hurting THAT much with everyday activity, let them know!!:) Love you and let me know what they say!!:)

I have a terrible time with my hips.  The pain is almost unbearable sometimes....esp at night. It feels like my pubic bone is going to break in two.  The more the pg progresses the worse it becomes until I am hardly mobile anymore.

As for the inducing....you can always ask....but I would try to wait as long as you can.  i know it is hard.  But for the little one, there will be less risk of him having complications if he is closer to your dd.  Good luck sweetie.....
