It is kinda weird that I am writting this because just this afternoon I was sitting at McD's with some local cafemommies and we were talking about when our children (all within a year's age of each other) would start losing teeth. I was NOT looking foward to it as I can do ANYTHING but loose teeth!
Well, yesterday Josef was sitting at the table eating his breakfast, which was oatmeal flavored with sorghum (pure molasses). He started begging me to let him go brush his teeth because "I have some food in between my teeth and I NEED to brush them momma!" After he asked for about five minutes, very polietely though, I finally gave in. He brushed his teeth, and came right back out, said nothing. Tonight we were at Daddy's store (he is assitant manager at Advance Auto Parts) and Josef smiled HUGE and there it was-the hole!
How on EARTH did we miss it, we still can't figure that one out! Josef brushes his own teeth very well, we just go back over the back teeth. Josef said NOTHING about his teeth! So, we are not sure if the tooth fairy is coming tonight or not, isn't that terrible, lol. Josef is almost embaressed about his hole, and does NOT like to show it off :-( The pics below are the ones I was able to get though. The last one he is trying to watch Veggie Tales and would NOT look at me!
My baby at 5yrs 7wks lost his first tooth, and literally his FIRST tooth! The tooth that he lost was the first tooth to come in!

A Boy with Autonomic Dysfunction - The Miller Family
Our Special Life
Oliver was born after having suffered a stroke while in his mother's womb. The resulting brain injury is called Dysautonomia (Autonomic Dysfunction). His doctors believe the stroke was the result of the miscarriage of his twin. Oliver is completely blind and his underdeveloped brain stem makes basic physical functions a challenge. In spite of all this, he is a happy, go-lucky, 12-year-old boy, and his mom wants people to meet the real Oliver, not just his medical hardships.
