well Friday the girls had thier 15 mo checkup. This was thier 1st visit to the new pediatrician. I really like him! I had a few concerns about he girls and he seems to take them very seriously. They are finally catching up on thier weights. Braley was 21lbs and 29in long. Brianna was 20.2lbs and 28 3/4 in long. YAY!!! We  had eye exams done at the daycare where they attend and braley and Aidan(my son) came back with possible problems noted. Braley might be farsighted and Aidan might have an astigmatism. He is supposed to call this week for an appt to an opthamologist to check it out and see what is going on. I have had isues with brianna for a while and the other pedi would not take me seriously about it. She can be sitting there playing, be just fine and her hamds, feet and around her lips turn purple. To me that sounds like she is not getting enough oxygen in her blood. So the pedi asked me if she has ever had a EKG done and I said no. he is getting her records from the neonatologist from the NICU and if she has newver had one done, he is going to refer us to a cardiologist to let them check her out. I am just excitedand relieved that he is not just brushing it off like the old dr. When the girls went for thier 12 mo check up, thier dr came in and asked how thier surgery had went and I said ok and she said ok well do you know they are getting shots today and I said yes. Well, then she walked out of the room. She did not even lay a hand on the girls!!!!! She didnt look in thier eyes, ears, mouth, nothing!!! I was pissed and decided that I better find another one right away. I think it was a good move for me. I am so happy I found him. I will post about the other appts when we get them scheduled and go. Thanks for reading!

update: when i got home last night from work, the ped office called. we have an appt for Braley to get her eyes checked tomorrow at 10:00. YAY!!!! I am going to call today to see how far they have made it with getting Brianna's med records from neonatologist to get her to be seen by a cardiologist. The dr wont send Aidan to get his eyes checked until he actually has his 5 yr appt in March. That is cool, as long as he gets to go before school starts back in August. I am getting very nervous about Aidan starting school. I am going to have to talk to his dr about my concerns.

sounds like that other PED was definitely a piece of work--a bad piece!  Their new dr seems very thorough!  I can completely understand your trepidation about him starting school, and definitely is wise to discuss it with his PED. I have some with thinking about Takena going to preschool in the fall!  Our babies are growing up TOO fast!
