Yesterday was fun, I was on the phone with the local hospital, then Akron Children's Hospital, and our Pediatrics office 2x. Nobody was sure what to do, DUH. Don't they get updates on these outbreaks and how to handle them.

Well finally Akron Children's said to take her to her pediatrics Doctor and bring the crackers. So we did, they need a stool sample to run test for Salmonella. So that we had to wait for. But I explained to her Doctor again when her symptoms started and now we had to add in the Crackers with Peanut butter. Because she had those right when all this started.

The Doctors thinks she could but won't be sure till the test. Maddie could be over it all too, and if she had the Salmonella it was a mild case since she didn't have a violent case a diarrhea with it.  But according to the CDC you don't always get all the symptoms.

So we have the sample at the lab and are waiting on results. Then from there we will go. I'm hoping its all over she was fine most of the day yesterday she complained her stomach hurt and did again this morning but no vomiting.

So if you have Aldi's Brand Cambridge Cheese and Peanut butter crackers get rid of them, if someone is sick get them to the doctors. Check the FDA's  and Govs. website for a list of the peanut recalled products please.

The Doctor spoke to the health department and I'm to hold onto the crackers if Maddie's test comes back positive I have to file a report with the health department and they will be contacting the FDA and I will be contacting a lawyer. This last month with this was hell...complete hell and watching her suffer was horrible....

please ladies check your cabinets and don't eat anything with peanut butter....

 hugs, lisa

Thanks Lisa . . . after I read your post the other day I realized I might have something in my pantry.   I went and looked at an online list.   Yup, we have the Keebler brand which has been pulled off the shelves in stores.   The peanut butter and crackers and also their cheese and crackers.   We use both for J for snack time at school.   Yikes!

And I thinking of you and Maddie!   Let us know as soon as you know.   Love to you!

Thanks for letting us know how things are going Lisa. I'm hoping Maddie will be feeling better soon. This whole peanut butter thing is concerning...the list of items seems to be growing every day. I'm beginning to think I'll toss out everything in our house with peanut butter in it.
