Monday, January 26th, is the Chinese New Year (the Year of the Ox) and this is the perfect time to boost your bank account!  Harness this year's money-growing power by trying these easy traditions:

• Wear some red and gold on Monday.  It is said that these colors attract happiness and wealth!  If the outfit is new, it's considered even luckier.
• Give 8 shiny coins in a red envelope especially to a loved one.  8 represents prosperity.  And because the Chinese say "Good things come in pairs" giving two envelopes of 8 shiny coins (each) can double your fortune!
• Display flowers! If flowers bloom on (Chinese) New Years Day, it's said to predict a prosperous year.

I plan on wearing a red dress Monday, wearing my gold ballet flats & gold jewelry, plus giving hubby 2 red envelopes with 8 shiny pennies in each envelope!
