Lately I've been in the mood for cooking again. I love cooking, and I always seem to be on an ebb and flow with it. I got together with my Mother last week and we spent some quality time making raviolis. Spending time with my Mom is essential to our relationship, and if I don't call her regularly she will flip out and say things like, "you don't love me anymore." or "you're always too busy for me.." Pfftt.. Mom... I'm a domestic Mother now, how much of a social life do you think I have????
Anyways, good times were had, she still believes that I love her, and here went our process:
First the dough -

Then the filling (mushroom, spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and garlic) -

Add filling to rolled out dough. We used a pasta roller. (this is my mum.) -

Place second layer of pasta on top, then cut into squares -

Boil -

Enjoy-

Today was my Dad's 50th birthday, so I made him dinner also. We had roasted beets with a few different cheeses - chevre being one of them - to dollop on top, sauteed green beans with almond slivers, dill and chive biscuits, and mushroom, chickpea, and barley stew.-

m' dad -

Also, for my Dad's burfday, I drew him a portrait of his mom, who passed away shortly before I was born. Drawing my Grandma was kind of my way of meeting the lady. It gave me the warm fuzzies. -
Virginia:

To top my productive day, I made my first stuffed animal. Thanks to Martha Stewart, I kind of get the idea how to plus toys - my newest goal.

Also, I think my daughter might be a vampire:
