So I am going to my local community college to earn an Associate of Science in Nursing otherwise known as being an RN. It's supposed to be a 2 year program and it is going to take me 5 years after all is said and done. I wish I would have been going full-time instead of part-time taking my slow ass time. Oh and I have to go to a different city to do the actual nursing classes cause they don't offer them here. I had wanted to start them this semester, but did not get into the program so that sets me back half a year. So I am learning Spanish and Medical Terminology. Both of which are not necessary for my degree. But I think if I can master Spanish that it would be very beneficial to be a bi-lingual nurse. Why didn't I think of this sooner tho cause I am taking Spanish 101 and if I had been taking Spanish throughout my college journey, well I'd probably know it already.
I'm just glad that I don't have to work. My boyfriend makes enough money for us to get by. I mean we are not living in luxury by any means, but we get by. I recently filed my fafsa which is a federal application for student aid and I didn't know what to put for my income cause I didn't work at all last year. I can't believe that I haven't worked in over a year!! I mean I take care of my kids and all the housework and that IS a LOT of work, but have not worked outside the home.
Anyways, I just can't wait to be a nurse and help people. I would also like to go back to school later for a bachelor's and then a master's degree. That way I could be a nursing professor.
