My hubby is in the process of getting all hei teeth pulled so he can get dentures. the teeth he has left are in bad shape and he cannot chew well any more. Does anybody know how to puree foods? I have a blender with a food prcessor atachment. What can I give him besides, soup, mashed potatoes, and mac-n-cheese?
Comments:
You can blenderize/process just about anything although you may need to add fluid. Yogurt, ice cream, jello, sherbet, these can be eaten as they are. When my kids had their wisdom teeth pulled (both kids, same day - ugh) I put mashed potatoes and gravy together in the blender. I made hamburger gravy for protein. OK, so they didn't like it, but it was only for a few days. Mashed bananas. Pasta cooked very soft and then red sauce or white sauce added - cut into tiny pieces or blenderize. (Tiny pieces I'd think would be more appealing as long as it was tiny enough to swallow without chewing.)
Hope his new teeth come in from the laboratory fast!! I remember when my mother had all of hers pulled, and I still remember how bad she looked from the pain.

You can use a blender or food processor....I use the magic bullet...Cook something like sweet potatoes and then put them in the blender until mushy you will probably have to add a bit of water you can do the same thing with other good, avocados really healthy also and you can just mush them with a fork..Hope this helps
