New Parents

On Jan. 14, 2009 our new baby daughter was born! The BM thought she was 7 months pregnant and actually was 9 months pregnant. We received a call from her that evening telling us she had the baby. She did not have pre-natal care so could be a reason why she didn't know how far along she was?

Anyway the BM and us connected from an ad we posted in The New Times. We got an 800 number, posted an ad starting in Dec to run for 8 weeks and received 3 phone calls New Year's Day. It was pretty wild and we met 2 of the BM's since they were local to us.

This has been an amazing experience and we had to make a decision quickly to adopt our daughter due to some drugs BM was taking and did not tell us about. At the end we decided to move forward and now we have a beautfiul baby girl. AZ is 72 hours after the birth, BM signs consent. She signed POA and the lawyer called us to tell us we can move forward.

The final hearing is not for 3-6 months, when the court schedules it but everything else is complete. It has been a quick process and we know how fortunate we are. Baby Mollie is our first child. :)

TY! Mollie is now 6 weeks old, we have moved to SE Florida and she is so amazing! I will try and upload a few pics. :)
