Update on my reading goal:

Okay, so I have just under a month to finish and I've been reading some, but I've been crocheting and working A LOT the past few months. Let me see if I can get caught up.

I'm trying to look to see where I left off, but my myspace profile is taking for-ev-er to load!

You're Only Old Once-by Dr. Seuss-lots of fun and good stuff to think about J

Interpreter of Maladies-by Jhumpa Lahiri-liked her novel so much I read her first book, a collection of short stories. Again, kind of bittersweet.

Wisps of Mists-unsure of the author, a book of poetry, very late 70's-early 80's ish J

The Little Mixer by Lillian Nicholson Shearon-this is a children's book published in 1922, rather sweet and entertaining J Beth and I also read the following books from the library, though I wasn't bright enough to catch the authors. All were good in different ways. I like the changes and the reality at the end of both Bindi Babes and Mermaid Park. Tortuga kind of leaned into Magical Realism, reminded me a little of Marquez' writings. 10 Ways to Cope with Boys was cute and the author has written some other books, another we read was, I think 10 Things to do Before You Turn 16, or something like that. Cute, short and entertaining both.

I'm in the middle of reading Julie Andrews Edwards' book The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles-cute so far. I've also read about half of Madeline Albright's book The Mighty and the Almighty and Stolen Lives (not sure of the author's name)-I hope to finish both of these books by my birthday next month. Okay, if I finish these, I think that puts me at about 38 books, not counting children's books that Owen and I have read and re-read and re-re-read! Not too bad, better than last year! And I've also made 4 afghans, 12 scarves for Special Olympics, 4 scarves for family and friends, a purse, a hat, and a muffler all since the end of September. Finished my recertification, started working with 4 new clients and I've finished the edits on the new plan for my first client-I've officially been a working support broker for a year now! We're waiting on some other paperwork, but we should be ready to submit the new plan in a week or so. It's been a busy year. My Boise Mom-ercize group on CafĂ© Mom has hit a winter doldrums. I hope things pick up soon. Well, I promised Owen and the girl I'm babysitting today that we'd go to the indoor playground and it opens in about 20 minutes. Hope you're doing well! I think I'm going to re-commit myself to the reading goal for next year. Hopefully I'll be able to get out more and get more of the books you all recommended when I first asked last year!
