Conner's birth story

ok so alot of you have been asking about my labor,what made him come so soon,all of that good stuff so i decided to write out my birth story.

Friday jan 23 i started having contractions after cleaning the house for my daughter's 1st birthday party. they were getting pretty strong but werent in a pattern,i'd have 1 & then have another 5 minutes later then 10 minutes later have another well that continued all through friday,saturday & part of sunday during the party then they finally stopped. i was honestly very relieved b.c i was having horrible pains for nothing really even though i had started getting excited thinking maybe just maybe i might have my lil man that weekend. well the rest of sunday went well we had Haylee's bday party which was a blast,cleaned up & decided to sit down & watch some TV. then the contractions started again still no pattern to them,that night was horrible i couldnt sleep b.c my body was in so much pain so the next day i decided to just take the day & relax & the contractions went away so me & my family decided to go to disney & let the kids see some shows & ride a few rides,well at disney the contractions started again & this time in a pattern. they got to be every 4-5 minutes apart & lasting a minute long so we left figuired if they were still in a pattern on the way home id go to L&D yuh aparently my lil man thought this was all fun & games & contractions stopped on the way home well w.e it was good cause i was only 36 weeks & 3 days preggo. woke up tuesday not feeling anything so me & hubby went to the mall looking for my charm for my necklace & went to walmart to get haylee's food,during all of this contractions started again,well i was sick of the pain & my drs appointment wasnt for another day so i called my drs office & told them what was going on. they were worried Conner was under stress & told me to go right to L&D. i got there @12:30pm got checked @ 1:15 & was 3cms 50% effaced. they decided to keep me for 2 hours & then recheck me if nothing changed they'd send me home. well she checked me again & i was 4cms 70% effaced so she called my dr & my dr said she'd wait & see if i made it to 5cms if i could make it to 5 she was keeping me & giving me pitocion well an hour later i was 5cms & 80% so after the dr checked me & saw that she broke my water & said in a few hours id have my baby,i was in total shock i did not expect her to break my water at all & i did not expect to really be having my lil boy that night. well they came bck in about 2 hours later & i was 6cms they said my contractions were steady on their own & there was no need fo pitocion. a few hours later there was no change so they gave me a lil pitocion,my epidural,& checked me again,still no change. well i was having unbariable pressure in my pelvic area so they gave me another medicine in my epi & then the nurse came in about 5-10 minutes later saying the baby was looking weird on the monitor she needed to check me i went from 6cms to 9 1/2 cms within 5-10 minutes it was crazy so she called my dr & then checked me again & i was 10. she asked me how long it took to push my daughter out & i said an hour & half so they had me do a practice push & bam there was his head so i had to stop pushing with the babys head right there & wait 20 minutes for my dr to get there lol btw i was in no pain right now & could barly feel pressure to push my epi was deffinatly working lol well the dr got there & had me push 4 pushes & baby Conner was born @ 10:16pm he was 6lbs 3oz 19 1/2in long. his cord was wrapped around his neck once but he was ook,hubby got to cut the cord this time which was rly nice since he couldnt with Haylee. they took him over & gave him oxygen & checked him out & said even though he was a preemie he's perfectily fine. although then everything changed,although he was breathing on his own he wasnt able to keep his temp up so they let me hold him for about 5 minutes & then they had to take him to the nursary. they finally got his sugar & temp up & @ 2am he was allowed to come back with me in my room. since then he is doing great,he lost 3oz since birth but thats normal & his dr said he is doing great even though he's so small so he got to come home with me yesterday & didnt need any extra time in the hospital. what was really funny is that the whole weekend during my contractions me & my mom would talk to my belly & say no Conner u cant come out untill tuesday b.c i had to babysit sat,the party was sunday,i needed of day of rest of monday,so tuesday was ok for him to come lol my lil boy is such a good listener cause he came tuesday haha

very cute you should buy or get your baby book print and paste this to it or write it there it is such a great birth story Congrats I had a feeling he would be born in January lol
