This is more for my own benefit because this bloody computer keeps booting me off...

I'm sorry I haven't been on here in forever and two days.  I'm in tiny-town Oklahoma, on a dial-up connection using a computer that has seen more years than my oldest child.  I can't reply or send any emails because apparently email uses too much memory for this computer and the poor thing has an anxiety attack and shuts down.  I can't access any posts because the hamster inside this fricking machine can't run fast enough for the pages to load and - yup, you guessed it - it shuts down.  I'm surprised as hell that I can leave a journal post and I'm waiting for tears to start streaming from the monitor from the pain I have caused this bloody piece of crap.  Just to toy with me, the computer will let me read your emails and any chatterbox notes, but won't let me respond before it shuts down.  I must have been a sadist in a past life and this is my punishment, to only be able to look in the window of cafemom but not be allowed to enter.  If I sound a bit dramatic, the Bud Dry is flowing freely tonight as I am hosting a one-night-only private pity party.  I'll be cheerful and searching for the frigging silver lining tomorrow - tonight I am a grouchy ass.  So, to my dear friends and those who smile at my demise ( I warned you of the mellow-drama, ha ha), I wish you all a bunch of night sweats and an itchy ass because if I am miserable I want you singing the blues next to me asking what the bugger just happened :).   Oh, all right, I really miss the scintillating wit and wisdom I receive from all of you.

And on a serious note, the boys are adjusting remarkably well, we are all warm with full bellies and surrounded by supportive people we love, and this weeks ice storm gave us some pretty pictures, a couple of days off from school, and very little damage.  I hope you are all having a warm fuzzy evening surrounded by those you love, or at least those who don't piss you off too much.  To steal a line from my dear pagan pal in Oh-Hi-Oh, Namaste.

Laura it has been a while for me as well. Sorry to read you are down in the dumps as I know the Cafe Girlz for us are like a life line of love and sanity. The out pouring I received during my brother inlaws saga got me thru each day just a note or mail  or a prayer mention was a daily inspiration and strength that I needed> You are a strong and diligent woman and I do believe you will work this out even if it doesn't feel like that lately. Look at your boys there is no gradififcation or confirmation that you need you have mad a very big positive impact on their lives. I stand and applaud for you!!! I am here if you need me. Give those kiddies a hug for me and maybe we will have that glass of wine together again real soon been a long time lol!
