I'm a nervous wreck! Tomorrow my DD is going to see the pediatric diagnostic specialist at the children's hospital. I have been anxious all day and two main fears are brewing in my mind.
The first fear is that they will find nothing and I will be left still with an undiagnosed sick daughter. I fear they will not find what's causing all her issues and she will get worse and worse. The doctor that took care of her during her longest hospital visit said his hunch tells him she has something rare and something that is going to be hard to find. That is very frustrating!
The second fear is a worse fear. I fear they will find something but it'll be something really bad, something that has a very poor prognosis and something she won't ever be better from. I guess I want it somewhere in the middle. I want them to find something that explains all that's going on but something that is not going to seriously harm or even kill her. I'm hoping for something fixable.
I'm so nervous I don't think i'll sleep. I keep going over all my information to make sure I haven't forgot to write anything down. If this doctor that specializes in rare pediatric disorders finds nothing tomorrow I'm not sure what to do next. I know we still have the return to the nephrologist, Endocrinologist and ENT. She also has a new appointment with a hematologist/.oncologist which is scary (I just found out about that one today). Then there's the sleep study coming as well. All these appointments are exhausting why do they says something is wrong with her but can't find the cause?
Please pray that tomorrow will have the best possible out come. Please pray they'll find out what's wrong with her but that they can fix it! Thanks everyone for all the support!
