My daughter just turned 2yrs on Jan.18. Im almost 35wks. prego & shes still nursing. She will usually nurse in the morning when she wakes up, when she goes to sleep & sometimes once or twice during the day.

My question: is she drinking bm or am I already making colostrum? If she is will she drink all of the colostrum & not have enough for when the baby comes? Is it ok for her to be drinking the colostrum?

I would think she is drinking colostrum but I am  not sure. Or could the colostrum of not kicked in because you never stopped BFing,  huh, I wonder...

I am not sure of the answer to this question but I can tell you that BM/colostrum is supply and demand. So, she will not take all of it.

Now, I am not a LC, but I would guess your milk has changed to colustrum by now. It seems that I read somewhere that you shouldn't nurse your older child after your new baby is born until your milk comes in, to ensure that baby is getting enough colustrum, but I may be WAAAYYYYY off on that one, so let me check with one of my friends and get back to you.
