So I keep reading about labor stories, or upcoming labor stories and honestly this is bugging me.
Why do people call it YOUR birth experience.
IE. a woman wants to Vbac and so she post wondering about the experience, how successful it is etc.
the replies are surmounting about how its HER experience and she should get what SHE wants no matter what.
I'm under the impression that while its YOUR labor experience its the CHILD's birth experience... isn't it? Isn't it up to us to do what ever we can as parents to provide the safest, smoothest birth no matter if that is a vaginal or a cesarean birth?
ultimately how they get here shouldn't be the end all B all... what should be is that they arrive... as healthy as they can be. If the baby may have risk then YOU as the parent need to be responsible enough to labor and deliver in a place that can care for that child ASAP, If you have no risk hell have your baby in the pasture, but seriously why are so many people IMO claiming its THEIR experience ... when its really the child's experience.
now don't get me wrong I think as the parents, especially the mother has the right to say NO, I don't want oh i dunno, my sister there, or my MIL, or my younger children. I also think that laboring parents have the right to say "Hey ! i just spent ...how ever long it was, i dont want ANY visitors, back off the baby is here its not going anywhere you have time , leave us ALONE for just one second.... but that's just me.
