We have had such rotten luck up till now that I am scared to get too excited yet. Our realtor called and said that it "looks like" our offer is accepted and we are getting the house we just put an offer on! The thing is they have only told her verbaly that they believe our offer is the one that will be accepted. It is a short sale and has to go through the bank and we have to wait for all the papers. BUT they asked if we could get the inspection scheduled because they want to close by the end of the month! Our realtor told them we are not going to spend money on the inpection until AFTER we have a signed contract. She doesn't want us to spend that money and then have it turn out our offer doesn't actually get approved for some reason. I really hope we get a contract soon so we can start getting everything else taken care of. I am excited but nervous because we don't have a signed contract yet.
I am soooo glad. We really needed some good news, I have had the most aweful few weeks here. My Grandma passing away, getting a traffic ticket, medical issues for my daughter, and then yesterday my dad having a heart attack. (My dad is stable, and will get out of the hospital tommorow morning.) With all of this going on I honestly wasn't even thinking about the house and was just cought by suprise when the realtor called. It's funny because I was trying so hard to apply "the secret" on the other houses we put offers on. I visualized moving in, I tried to think very positive and even started packing as a symbolic way to get in the attitude of already having it. We didn't get any of those houses. Then, everything is going wrong, I am stressed out, and the last thing even crossing my mind is the house we put an offer on. I didn't even expect we would get it I kind of just had an attitude of "Eh, whatever, I don't care if we get the house or not." Then we got this one? Hmmm... either I don't understand the secret, or it isn't real and what is meant to be will be. I think positive thinking is good and healthy but I am just questioning how much of an impact it actually does or does not have on the material world? Eh, whatever, I guess it doesn't matter as long as we get a house!!
