After almost 12 years with the same company (working his way up from a parts runner, through the machine shop to a CDL B Hazmat license), my husband was downsized today.

His boss was not happy about having to do it and is trying to pull strings to find him another job as quickly as possible.

Needless to say, I am barely holding it together right now.

If anyone in the MN area knows of companies that are looking for commercial drivers or warehouse work that pay better than $12 an hour, please let me know.  He's out looking right now.  To top it all off, his alternator died today so he's in my minivan.

I am lucky to still have my job.

Strings have been pulled.  If all goes well he will be getting hired at the airport in the next couple of hours with either a small cut in pay or a small increase in pay.   My fingers are crossed.  The exact phrase was "Call me on my cell when you get here, I will walk you into HR myself and tell them to find you a job."

I am so sorry that this is happening to your family. I've been right where you are, and it's scary and frustrating and heart-breaking.

But, you will come through this. You will survive this. You will find a way because you are a strong woman who will do what is best to keep your family whole and safe.

I'm praying for you.

I'm sorry this happened. One of my close coworkers just told me his wife was laid off last week. I hope he finds something soon. I will hold you all in my prayers.
