I am a full time working mom with a 5 year old daughter. I work straight afternoon shifts, so I can put her on the bus in the morning. Then my finace gets her off the bus in the evening. I don't usually get off work to 11;30p.m. So the only time I get really see her is when I am putting her on the bus in the morning. And of course, my nights off. Which seem to be few and far between. It breaks my heart when she says mommy I miss you I wish you didn't have to work tonight. But, what am I going to do! I have to work full time because we would never make ends meet. And I like to be able to buy stuff for my family when I want. I don't like to have to worry about money! Itried explaining to her why mommy has to work. It's just so hard not to see her as much as i would like. Then when I do get a night off I have to try to seperate my time between her and my finace. So I can spend time with both!

That really sucks. It doesn't sound like you have time for both.
On the bright side it's made my finace and daughter closer. We've been together since my daughter was a year old. My ex- husband has not seen her since she was three months old. So my finace is the only dad she has ever had. His family and him love her like she was born part of the family. I am very lucky there.
