So today is one of the first few nice days here in Kenosha~ Sun is shining, sky is bright blue, the temp is close to 50... yea, its something we all been waiting for. Well, my sis is hurting for money, so I offered to hold a MaryKay party for her tommorow, at my house. I sent emails to friends and families, posted an event on my Myspace page and called a couple people. So just about ten minutes ago, I went downstairs, to get it kinda in order for the party (we have a finished rec area down there), and i notice right away something isnt right. It just smelled really musty. I turn on the light, and yep, you guessed it~ thanks to our nice warm sunshine (which is melting all the snow), water has found its way into my basement! Lucky me.... frown mini. so I called my renter's insurance, to find out what I should do. Did you know that renter's insurance does not cover water coming into the basement? I am just so upset right now. My rugs down there are COMPLETELY ruined. Just full of dirty ground water, and smell horrible. Called local dry cleaners~ braided rugs cannot be drycleaned or they'll fall apart! So as last resort, sent an email to landlord and said I want to be reimbursed for the rugs. We've had a little water come in once before, but no where near this amount, and also not in this section of the basement. We'll see if that goes anywhere....

Any of you ever have to deal with any form of water damage?
