I decided that I would try to find a place for me to get advice and connect with new people....and here I am. I think that this might work well for me.
I am 25 and I have a 7 month old baby girl. She is amazing. I love her so much. I also have two step-children. They are great. Klaudia is 8. We tend to butt heads the most, but I think that is because of the way things are with her mom. Her mom tends to give in to her when she throws her fits. Its getting pretty old. Klaudia is a good girl, but I am worried that her attitude if it continues will affect my daughter. I do not want her to be like Klaudia. There is only so much that I can do though. I can't make her real mom change her parenting. Parker is 4. Now Parker and I have more of a connection. Parker is the loviest little boy. He is so sweet. He throws his fits ever so often, but he does good. He doesn't always listen but he is 4. Overall I think he is better behaved than Klaudia, but it seems like he gets in more trouble...I am not sure how it works out that way.
I am so excited for next year. Parker will get to start Kindergarden. He is learning so much at preschool its amazing. I wish I was able to do more with the kids or knew how to do more educational stuff. Klaudia wants to do a lot of different activities but her daddy doesn't want her to do a lot. He doesn't want her to do things that will overlap with softball which she is already signed up for. I understand that, but I think its good for them to be involved in different things - especially things that will help them learn more and make more friends. Parker needs to get into something. He has a lot of energy. I know he would love to do just about anything, but that is also part of the problem. He wants to do everything.
I will write more later, but I figure that is a pretty good introduction :-)
