Drug overdose by Doctor killed my twin sister

My identical twin sister went in the hospital December 3rd or 4th. She was having a lot of pain from three compressed vertebrae in her spine. They gave her some pain medication and started having problems with her mental status. The ER doctor then said he thinks she is a polypharmacy drug  user. He labeled her a drug addict because she was taking pain pills he prescribed her. She NEVER went to another doctor for pills. Since they labelled her that way, when she was admitted into the hosp, the doctor that took care of her took her off all her medications, which caused her to be in severe, agonizing pain. She called me screaming and begging me to make them do something. I had her power of attorney and I faxed it to them. They said they will do something. She called me every three minutes for hours. The doctor came into her room and she put the phone down and I overheard him say to her, "It doesn't look like you are dying to me." "You look like you are breathing to me." Then she said,"MY sister wants to talk to you." Then she screamed at him calling him back to talk to me. He ran out of her room when she indicated that I was on the phone. They gave her something that lasted about three hours and she was in agonizing pain again. I called them and told them I was coming up there if they didn't do something. The nurse then came in and she put the phone down and the nurse told her,"Your doctor is gonna knock your lights out!" She told her he upped her pain patch, changed her pain med, and gave her something else and Seroquel which is given to psychotic patients that are in crisis to knock them out. The next thing I heard was that they found her with a respiratory rate of four and that she had vomited and aspirated it into her lungs and they wanted to take her off of life support. Since I was her poa they asked me to let them let her die with dignity!!! I told them no. She wanted everything they could do done. She was in a coma all through Christmas. They had to put a tracheostomy in to breathe for her. She woke up right after New Years. She was awake, alert and trying to talk. She was taken out of ICU and put on the stepdown floor. Then they said she ran out of medicare days and would have to be moved somewhere else. They sent her two hours away from her family. I am disabled and on Oxygen. It takes an act of congress for me to travel. We went there three times. Twice she was alert and smiling. She was talking to us and happy. On Friday I called them and asked how she was. I did this every day. They said I might want to come there right then instead of Sat. That she had taken a turn for the worse. When we got there at 10:15 p.m. the doors were locked and she died at 10:18 p.m. We tried to get there but we just didn't have enough time. She died with a beautiful smile on her face and the most peaceful look on her face. We know she is with God. There is no more pain on her face. Her memorial  service will be at   Church in Power       5710 East 11th St.     Tulsa, OK.     Thank you for listening to me vent.

Oh my  gosh that is so very sad. My condolences to you & your family.  May she rest in peace.  She will be forever @ your side as your very own guardian angel.  I hope your family sues this hospital and their staff.  You must arm yourself with a powerful attorney.  Those staff members will burn in hell.  They cannot possibly have a conscience.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday,unseen, unheard, but always near,  still loved, still missed & very dear.  God bless you & give you the strength & faith to sustain you through  this difficult time.

Oh hun I'm so sorry. I cant belive that Doc. and Nurse I hope they get called out in their wrongs. May your sister watch over and protect you.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I would of sued the first hospital for negect. My friends is doing a lot better she there was a reasion god taking the baby to be with him and he has a plan for her.
