Ginny's Secret Stuff

Just me, tellin' it like it is.......

After a good night's rest, Angel and Katy awoke early and immediately turned on the TV and waited....................... and waited................... and waited.  I tried to explain it was too early, and that the Super Bowl game didn't begin for several hours, but they ignored me.  Katy had already told Angel I didn't like football,  so they were not sure if I'd remember to tell them when the game started.

So, at 7:00AM - there they sat, staring motionless in front of the TV.

Eventually I was able to convince them they had plenty of time to go outside and enjoy the sunshine of the beautiful (80 degree) day in So Cal.  (Don't worry - they used sunscreen.)

Angel got a little daring, as she sat on the fence.

I got a little worried, so I coaxed her down.   She met up with Katy and they went for a quick swim in the fountain.

They romped about the yard, and played.  Suddenly Angel decided it was time to meditate, and so she did.

Then it was back to play time.  She was fascinated by the sign in my yard - "Caution - Teddy Bear Crossing".

After sitting there for awhile, I finally asked her what she was doing.  She said she was waiting for the Teddy Bears and was disappointed that she had not seen any yet.

So, we went inside, and I introduced her to Mr. Bear-Bear (who has been with me since my second birthday).  He's 59 years old, which is 413 in "dog" years.  I'm not sure how many "bear" years that is, but he's OLD.  Angel was thrilled to meet him.  She was captivated by Bear-Bear's charm and wisdom.   (And, notice - Angel's bodyguard, Murray, was there to protect her.)

Suddenly we heard someone walking in the front door, so we ran out to see who it was.  It was my grandson.  He met Angel, before he even had a chance to take off his sunglasses.  ("Uh, Grandma, what's this you want me to hold?")

He took off his shades to get a better look at his Grandma's friend.

He finally got comfortable and realized that Angel was a fun little creature.

Just about then, it was time for the Super Bowl to begin.  Angel jumped off my grandson's head and ran quickly to cuddle up with my hubster and watch the game.  (Hubby looks thrilled, doesn't he?  LOL  He's a good sport though.)

She then decided she wanted a front row seat, and there she sat for the entire game.

At the end of the day, there was a little more fun and play.

Angel tells me that she has enjoyed her visit here with us.  She's become especially fond of Murray.  She is anxious to see where her journey will take her next.

But, she's not very happy about having to be packed into a box again to travel.  I've assured her that I will pack her up safely, and in just a couple days she will arrive at her next destination.  (I can't reveal where that is, yet, because it's a surprise.  I'm sure her next hostess will let us all know when Angel arrives.)

We will miss Angel, but just as the process of life goes - everything is impermanent, and so Angel must leave us and continue on her journey.

We love you, Angel.  Please keep in touch....

P.S.  After my grandson left to go home on Super Bowl Sunday, I searched everywhere, but couldn't find Cousin Katy.  Angel was perched right where she was supposed to be, but there was no sign of Katy.  Finally, after checking everywhere, I realized the one place I had neglected to look was in Elmo's Restaurant  - YEP - there she was - in the oven!  I rescued her and put her with Angel.

I LOVE it! ROFL! And Murray is just the cutest thing. I can tell that he is very loved (and spoiled). Which is, of course, how our pets SHOULD be! The garden pics are so cool- I'd love to come to your house for a visit. I think your Katy and my Sweetie would really get along well, too! he he he...
