Fairy Queen and the Tooth Fairy

Back on Friday, I decided to surprise Devon with some wall decor for her room. So, I went out to the store and bought some really cute 'wall clings' and then came home and put them on her wall.

For some reason, she has not wanted to sleep in there since. I've asked her why and she says that she's afraid. I ask her of what and then remind her that she does have a night light in there. She then tells me that she's afraid that the fairy queen will come back and take all of the pretty 'wall clings' off of her wall........ I told her that it was mommy who put them on her wall, and she was all surprised and everything. It was to cute.

Well, last night she was afraid to sleep in her room again and she also wasn't feeling to well. So, instead of fussing with her on trying to get her to sleep in her own room, I gave in and let her sleep in mine (I'm not feeling that well either).

Somehow we got to a conversation of her and losing teeth. She really wants to lose a tooth. I'm not sure why, but she is really stressing out over it. She really wants the tooth fairy to come.

Out of curiosity, I asked her why she wanted the tooth fairy to come. Then she gave me this whole thing about losing teeth and the tooth fairy.

"Mommy, I have to lose a tooth and put it under my pillow for the tooth fairy. Then at night, when she comes, she will transform my losed tooth into a whistle."

"A whistle?"

"Yes, a whistle. Once I losed a tooth, I won't be able to whistle anymore. So the tooth fairy will transform my losed tooth into a whistle and then I'll be able to whistle again."

What a riot! Love the wall cling decor. Do they make big ones? I was thinking of creating some type of mural for our basement exercise room, but I want it to be impermanent.
