An ungrateful little brat. Gah!! That's what I was when I was a teenager. It's the main reason I hoped so desperately for a boy. I wasn't a dream. I was a nightmare! I can't fathom being treated the way I remember treating my mom.
     It's so weird to think back ten years and realize what a mouthy little brat I could be. I wasn't bad all the time. I guess that maybe I didn't understand that I could state my opinion without yelling about someone contradicting me? I don't know. Zut alors, teenagers can be weird.
     My mom and I still get in shouting matches from time to time, but we get over it a lot more quickly nowadays. Instead of screaming at each other until we're both red in the face, we calmly let each other know when one of us is being a pain in the ass.
     I can't imagine life without my mom right now. I have no idea what I'm doing! I'm scared straight about having a baby; not about the labor, just about having to take care of a miniature human being in 42 days. It's really nice being able to ask her questions about her pregnancies, even though I am not going through anything she went through, and vice versa, lol. It's just nice to be able to talk about it. I'm already addicted to CafeMom, but sometimes you want to talk about your thoughts and fears with someone who is close to you. These days, that's my mom.
     My mom and I are best friends now. Other than a snag here or there, we're laughing together all the time. She's going to be a wonderful grandmother to my daughter like her mom was to me. I am very blessed. It just sucks that I didn't know what I had when I was younger. I'm sorry, mom.
