*Ways to avoid plastics:

  • Do not microwave, wash in a dishwasher or heat drinks or food in plastic... this includes baby bottles. Heat causes more of the toxins to leach out.
  • Do not store food in plastic bags, containers or plastic wrap.
  • Buy fresh foods (organic is best to avoid other toxins such as pesticides) when possible and opt for the least packaging. Try to avoid canned foods and drinks.
  • Opt for a water filter instead of consuming bottled water. Besides saving your life and money, opting for a water filter means a lot less plastics in landfills.
  • Opt for glassware and stainless steel instead of plastic cups, dishes, forks, knives, etc...
  • If you still need to use plastic containers for whatever reason, then replace any scratched, cracked or old plastic ware.
  • Opt for stainless steel thermoses instead of reusable plastic sports bottles.
  • Please recycle.

~ Live simply so that others may simply live.

Remember, we are all affecting the world every moment, whether we mean to or not. Our actions and states of mind matter, because we're so deeply interconnected with one another. Working on our own consciousness is the most important thing that we are doing at any moment, and being love is the supreme creative act. - Ram Dass
