What made you fall for your spouse? What was it that got your attention? What made you know you wanted to spend your life with him? (feel free to reply in a comment with your story!)
I met my husband on a June Friday night in 1994. I was out with a friend from work, they were kinda going out. He saw her and started running up to the car and I pretended I couldnt get the gear to move..lol. The rest of the night they hung out and I got his friend..yay. But that night when I got home, all I would talk about was him. I didnt even know his first name yet, but my mom knew I liked him very much. She says I had never talked about a guy so much. He got me by how goofy he acted (like as we were leaving he jumped off the sauna into the pool at the motel he and his friends were staying at ...he was at MOS school). The next day I was out and had stopped at a pay phone to call my mom (yeah, it was back in the day...1994...lol). While I was on the phone with her he ran up to me and asked if I would wait while he ran in the store. Well, I took him to my work to see that girl (we worked together, yeah she hated me after that...lol), then we went out. His smile, how he held my hand, it got me. The next day he came over to my house for the whole day (it was Sunday), and I FINALLY learned his first name...lol. I told my mother I was not going into the air force and the next day told my recruiter and took my husband to meet him. That Wednesday instead of me going to MEPS, we looked at wedding rings and were married 4 weeks later. His smile, how he held my hand, how he made me feel when he put his arms around my waist. how his hands felt when he lifted my chin or held my face in the palm of his hand. His soft lips when he kissed me (second "date"/3rd day I knew him...that Sunday). That's what got me. By the way, this July we will celebrate our 15th anniversary!!!

A Boy with Autonomic Dysfunction - The Miller Family
Our Special Life
Oliver was born after having suffered a stroke while in his mother's womb. The resulting brain injury is called Dysautonomia (Autonomic Dysfunction). His doctors believe the stroke was the result of the miscarriage of his twin. Oliver is completely blind and his underdeveloped brain stem makes basic physical functions a challenge. In spite of all this, he is a happy, go-lucky, 12-year-old boy, and his mom wants people to meet the real Oliver, not just his medical hardships.
