I recently received a funny email about how you should always check your child's homework because you never know what the heck they're bringing to school. It reminded me of something that happened with my daughter, Kaelyn, a few years ago.

Kaelyn was in kindergarten at the time, and she really loved her teacher and was always bringing her little gifts like a flower or a picture that she had colored and stuff like that. Personally, I thought the lady was a bit uptight... which made this whole situation all the more mortifying. lol.

Well Kaelyn had this Barbie coloring book, and one day I was flipping through and came across this strange picture. It was a picture of Barbie and Ken looking intently into each others eyes, and Ken had a bouquet of roses for Barbie. Well to me it looked like Barbie had her hand inside of Ken's jacket suspiciously close to his crotch.

I thought it was funny and so I colored the picture and made them look like me and my husband. I gave Ken a long beard and made Barbie's hair really long and even gave her a portrait tattoo on her arm like mine. At the top of the page, it had said "Ken surprises Barbie with beautiful roses," but I crossed out Ken and put my husband's name above it, and I scribbled out the "ie" at the end of Barbie. So it read "Mike surprises Barb with beautiful roses" and then below that I added "and she shows her appreciation with a handjob." lol. It was quite funny. I showed to my husband and we both had a good chuckle.

I put the picture away and forgot about it until a couple of days later when I was checking Kaelyn's book bag for homework, and lo and behold..... there's the frickin Barbie picture. I'm thinking no... effin... way...  she took that thing to school! Oh yeah... she did. Not only that... but when I pull it out... there's a note attached from her teacher!!

The note said...

"Dear Mr. & Mrs. J,

Kaelyn gave me this picture this morning when she came to school. I was a little disturbed because of what it says. She said it is from her sister, but I just wanted to share it with you and maybe you can find out where this came from. Hopefully I will not be receiving something like this again. I did not want to hurt Kaelyn's feelings by returning it, so I told her I wanted you both to see it then she can make a different one.

Sincerely, Mrs. R"

Now, at the time, Kaelyn's sister was like one-year-old, so I have no idea why Kaelyn told the lady it was from her sister. lol. I wrote her back this note...

"Mrs. R,

I apologize for the picture you received. My niece (she's 21 yrs, old) was sitting for our dog on Saturday & Sunday while we went out of town. She colored the picture as a joke. I could have sworn that I threw that thing away, I'm not sure how it got into Kaelyn's hands. I'm extremely embarrassed, and I apologize deeply for this. I assure you that nothing like this will happen again. I told Kaelyn that you sent it back because it had my niece's name on it so you knew it belonged to her. I also told her not to take anything from home without asking, and I will be much more careful myself. I hope you accept my apology."

I blamed it all on my niece. lol. I was soooo embarrassed! I never thought I would be so happy that my child couldn't read yet! Of course I saved all of this stuff, and one day when she's an adult I'll show it to her. lol. So here it is... the infamous "Handjob Barbie" pic...

You gotta admit though... it does look like she's reaching for his member.... weird... lol.
