So since we are visiting family right now we have been staying w/ family. Well, right now we are staying with D's mom. Not only does his mom and step dad live here, but so does his sister and nephew. Well, yesterday his sister had been using a hot hot hot flat iron in the bathroom, and when she was done w/ it left it on and left the bathroom. My nephew decided to go in and play. Well, Corbin went to see what he was doing and all I know after that is my son was screaming in pain. We went to get him (D and I) and we opened the door to the bathroom to see him in tears holding his arm. My nephew had taken the hot iron and clamped it down on Corbin's arm hard. At first he lied about it saying he didnt do it, but then when he knew he was caught admitted saying it was an "accident". Now if Corbin had done that to someone his little butt would have been in timeout (no tv nothing) for quite some time, then moved to his room and his little butt would have been worn out because that was something really really bad, but I guess that is where parenting styles differ. My nephew was put in his room w/ the tv and all his toys and was told to stay there for a few min. No spankings no talking tos nothing. that is the same timeout he gets for telling his mom "NO". But, back to Corbin....Well, we were trying to care for his arm and nothing was making it better he was still screaming. I went and got some paper towels soaked them in cold water and then wrapped it around his arm (I told him it was special Ironman Medicine). That calmed him down so that we could look at it. Then we would keep redoing it so that it kept his arm cooled. Well, today it looks better, but there are still distinct marks on his arm (i'm not talking just red marks either) where the grooves of the huge flat iron was put on his arm. I feel so bad for him. D's sister of course insists it was Corbin's fault and that her son wasn't in the wrong, but how do you convince someone who thinks their child is perfect (which we all know I dont think Corbin is) that their child can do wrong. I will try to take a picture of it later so you all can see. My friend who is a nurse said its a 2nd degree burn and will heal fine. We are headed to post later to get some burn cream for him because he still says it hurts really bad. So yeah I'm feeling for Corbin right now.

Put Vitamin E on it. Even if you buy the capsules and break them, and ALOE will help soothe the pain....also Aloe will help with no scarring.
