Our kids sometimes say things that make parents have to leave the room else destroy the kid’s self-esteem by laughing ourselves breathless right in front of them.

Currently, Lindt is running commercials for their Lindor candies. The chocolate ball is being shown in all its melty, smoothy, yummy, chocolately goodness. The beginning of the commercial asks, “Do you dream in chocolate?”

While watching television with my very literal eleven-year-old brown-eyed girl this commercial aired. I turned to Bug and asked her, “Do you dream in chocolate?”

She shrugged and said, “No.”

The commercial neared the end and Bug began to talk again. “Of course I don’t dream in chocolate. I don’t even sleep in chocolate.”

At this point, I got up walked into the kitchen and took deep, heaving breaths and hoped that containing my laughter wouldn’t send me into labor.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

This is a response to today’s journal theme, “Tell us 5 favorite things to hear your children say.” I couldn’t narrow it down to five, so I thought I’d share my latest funny.
