ATTENTION PEOPLE WHO DON"T READ:

comment and disagree with me all you want, thats great, go for it!♥

The title of my journal was so that the stalkers i had don't bother me again.

Debate with me, awesome, don't go off topic and degrade people and call them names.

******This post is PUBLIC because it is entered in a group contest, sadly not everyone in that group is my friend so it is PUBLIC. Just because it is PUBLIC doesn't mean i am a famous celebrity who makes my living off of being stalked on the internet SO DON'T STALK ME.******

***also for people who don't know how a debate works: i am given a side to debate and i debate it, it isn't nessissarily my view on it, which makes it even harder to write about but i think i did a damn good job***

Is it freedom of the press or harassment?

I am debating the Pro side of paparazzis.

The photojournalists are protected by the freedom of the press laws, as long as they go about getting their shots in a legal way they have every right to take pictures of as many celebrities as they like.

The celebrities feed off the paparazzi as much as the paparazzi feed off of them. One doesn't exist without the other. If there weren't any photojournalists then the celebrities wouldn't get the publicity they need in order to keep a stable fan base, without a stable fan base they have no stable income.

Some celebrities love the paparazzi and time their day's events around where they know the photojournalists will be but then when they are caught picking their nose they scream "harassment" and "invasion of privacy". Any fan walking down the street is able to snap a photo of a star so why can't a journalist? Celebrities deserve their right to private lives, but when they are in the public they become the public figure they make their living off of and become material for the paparazzi. When you become an actor or a singer, you need the paparazi in order to start making your face known. When you choosen that profession you understand that part of your public life is going to be just that public.

i think the paparazzi is a nessesity in a celebrities life.  i see pro's and cons to it though. more so pro's you know? A celeb needs the paparrazzi to gain their fame but sometimes it gets a little too crazy like an over invasion of life cause there are some photographers out there who get to the point of harassment and its sick. but i completley agree with you. =)

Hey, hey, hey writer_moma...ithi was just stating a fact, she wasn't being critical.  She and I rarely agree in opinion, but I DO agree with her here.  If the op didn't want comments that don't agree with her she should publish her journal to "friends only."  You don't need to go into shebanshee mode and attack.  We can be civil, no?

my response to this bitch who follows me around on the internet and comments on my pieces just to be a whore LMAO:

"Interesting journal, talking freedom of the press and how if a celebrity is out in public they no longer have the right to privacy.  Yet your title says you don't give everyone that same freedom.  If you're going to put out a PUBLIC journal, then the PUBLIC can leave their comments.  Its the same freedom.

So I'm just exercising my freedom of speech and leaving you a comment."

wow. i'm flattered, i'm famous, these pathetic people love me and envy me enough to stalk me on the internet, on a site for moms no less. LMAO♥

you obviously didn't read the journal yet again, i said if you are a CELEBRITY a singer or an actor you accept that fact that your public lives are open to public scrutiny. i am neither. so fuck you. if you want to try and make a point make a good and logical one not a half ass jab at someone who put you in your place and embarrassed you. Don't try and out smart me, i have more brain cells in one milimeter of my brain then you have in your whole head. *deletes comment* *blocks the bitch*

OMFG people.

Yes disagree with me all you want but don't stalk me on the internet just to piss me off.

Memawbrie this woman bothered me in my last journal for no reason at all and insulted me instead of debating. so i don't appreciated being stalked.

The point of the title is so that people aren't bitches.

Disagree all you want i don't care don't resort to degrading my character or my relationship with my man, which is what she and the other lady did.

I'm 50/50 on it too.  While I think celebrities should be entitled to their privacy, they also know that BEING a celebrity sets them up for invasion of that privacy.  I think a lot of paparazzies (sp?) go overboard and just try to be jerks though.  I've heard celebrities ask them to give them some privacy and the paparazzi just get in their face all the more.  I think if a celebrity is up for a photo op, that's one thing, but if they ask to be left alone, it's only common decency.  I know that's how they make their living, but it would be nice if they would learn to be considerate.  They put the celebrities and their children in danger sometimes.
