Is this something to call the pediatrician over?  I can't remember if it's 101 or 102 that you're supposed to call about.  She's acting pretty normally.  A little quieter this afternoon than she was this morning, but still perfectly normal.

Apr. 20, 2007 at 2:14 PM I thought if the fever stays consistent for 2 days you should call. You might call a nurses hotline and ask them.

Yeah I called just to ask and the nurse will call me back.  I'm sure it's nothing, but since she has never had a fever over 100.1, I figured I'd just check.  There's so many different guidelines for different things, and for different ages!

I remember dd had something like eight very loose stools in a day, and I called the nurse because I was a little concerned about dehydration, and she told me, "Oh only eight?  We generally are concerned if it's over twelve".  LOLLLLLL!  I was like TWELVE????  I don't mean to say that she blew me off, but she just reassured me it was probably fine, but I could give her Pedialyte if it would make ME feel better, lol.

So I mean, what *I* might think is abnormal or a "fever", the doctors don't  always find to be so.  It's so hard to keep up!  Thanks for the info!

Apr. 20, 2007 at 5:22 PM Usually they say to call when they have a fever that lasts for more than 24 -48hrs because she may be coming down with a virus or possible ear infection.  But over 102 definitely call right away or take to the ER

Thanks for the responses!  She's definitely got a cold, the poor dear.  She  woke up twice in the middle of the night so clogged up, with post-nasal drip something fierce.  Colds suck when you're trying to sleep.  So I'm sure it's nothing.  Her temperature varies between 99.4 and 101, so I'm sure it's fine.
