My youngest came down with her husband yesterday and stayed the night. Not only did we stay up way too late last night, we also played our music a little too loud, my SIL and I were singing to Bob Seger, poor Betty (our renter) I hope we didn't keep her up and I hope she forgives me for singing.
Today we went to the movies, I say movies because hubby and SIL went to see Friday the 13th, and my dd and I saw New In Town. Talk about romance for married people on Valentines day, we didn't even go to the same movie. LOL
Now New in Town is set in the town of New Ulm, MN which is the next town over from us, we shop there, go to movies there, hubby works there, drs. are there etc.. so thought this might be interesting to see. I had heard it was filmed in Canada, where the weather is somewhat similar. But you think they could of at least done some research if they are going to use a real towns name for Pete's sake. I say this only because it would of been cool for all of us living here to see something that at least resembled New Ulm, but there wasn't. Even the beer they drank wasn't from NU, we have a brewery that makes Grain Belt and Schells. They did exaggerated on the accent, as we don't really talk like that but it was funny so that's ok, and besides every once in a while you do meet someone that does talk like that. The sign she sees when entering NU isn't even one of the real ones, couldn't they of at least done some film-age on that? All in all it was an ok movie, could of waited for dvd, but then what would I of done on Valentines day without my hubby?

Thanks for letting us know that we should wait for the DVD! LOL I get annoyed seeing a movie that is totally off base with something like what the town looks like. You'd think these directors and producers would want to make it more realistic.
