It's taking a bit of practice to ignore the stupid stuff. Getting more organized already. I feel much better emotionally right now. The regional manager I think is still trying to cover his butt. Too bad for them the police mention talking about arrest and trespassing. Not to mention, would someone like me leave without the fear of separation of my baby that jail would bring? They are all trying to cover their butt!!! The truth shall set you free!!!
I just love that they keep showing that lady. OMG I was so offended that I had to not look. One more thing, she was not able to even see me until she was standing up to leave. ROFL
They still are not telling the truth about how it happened. That lady was already leaving. Notice they never say she didn't eat there. See the corner table? That is where we sat. That lady and her family was at the next table, but getting ready to leave. When the manager noticed I was breastfeeding we had just got to the table. She, in her loud country kind of way (wish they would show her so you might understand) told me to cover up....like I was doing something disgusting! She caused the scene, not me. Not that is matters anway, we are getting off the subject that my rights have been violated. Oh and...after I traded words with that lady on tv...NOBODY else left the room until we left. They lost ZERO business as far as I know. The all looked like they were about to break out the popcorn. I know "they" are reading this but I do not care. The truth will set me free.
I have proof that they are telling lies, but more about that later. Let's hear some more about what a, "attention whore tit nazi" I am first.
It is one thing to be ignorant about breastfeeding. It is another to slander my reputation.

Did you hear what she said......"when I got up I turned around to the lady"
That's interesting that Denny's has a serveliance tape of the "incident" Would love to see that released! You were bfing in the interview, is that how you were in the restaurant? I've breastfed in restaurants alot, especially with my last. I've been up and walking around in 2 of the restaurants. It's crazy because someone is selfconscious about a breast that this has had to happen again.
I have contacted them asking for it to be released, but they ignore me. It isn't how I was doing it.........it is that they think they had the right to "refuse me service". Tell me please..........If they did not ask me to leave, then why does the regional manager talk about the "right to refuse service"?
Why not just ask on the phone to the police if I was correct when I quoted breastfeeding law? The police were called to talk to me and did intimidate me and threaten me with arrest.
I just watched the updated news link you provided and am disgusted and appalled at Denny's regional manager and the witness Vikkie Baliles. I would like to state that anyone with HALF a brain knows that it is IMPOSSIBLE to be "fully exposed" when a baby is ATTACHED. NOT only that, but the LAW protects you, so whether or not you were fully exposed is IRRELEVANT! It also protects you regardless of whether you are in a public or private place. Denny's keeps saying they're a "private establishment," well, the law still protects you! What a bunch of hicks. You can tell the collective IQ of these anti-breastfeeding mongrels isn't that high... just listen to that lady Vickkie Baliles. She unleashes her inbred intelligence, or lack of, by opening her mouth. Well, she should put a blanket over her nasty head because the way she looks is disgusting to me, and I am highly offended she is on TV. Seriously, you should contact La Leche League and sue the crap out of these imbeciles!
STAND YOUR GROUND! I think you have a lawsuit on your hands because Denny's DID violate the law! NC's state law has language specifically allowing women to BF in public. It says, and I quote, "A woman my BF in any public or PRIVATE location where she is otherwise authorized to be irrespective of whether the nipple of the mother's breast is uncovered during or incidental to the breastfeeding."
I normally would advocate for the rights of a private business owner, because they DO have the right to refuse service to anyone if a patron violates their terms of service. HOWEVER, said private business may NOT have terms of service that violate state law. The manager, and the Police were clearly in the wrong.
Ugh I love how the manager says they are a private business, like that gives them the right to discriminate??? Do they not allow black people in their restaurants either? BTW, you are gorgeous and your son is adorable! You guys paint a beautiful picture of a breastfeeding family!
The culture of Denny's hasn't changed I guess. I found out after this happened to me that they DID discriminate against black people a few years ago. They did it time and time again until they did it to the wrong people!
