My hubby's Valentines day present

So for Valentine's Day I went and had an ultrasound done at one of those places that does elective ones in Mason City. It was sooo worth it!! :) I got a dvd and pictures of the baby....and found out it's another BOY!!!! So to tell my hubby I wrote all sappy in his Valentines card about our love, and our future...blah blah blah. But at the end I thanked him for blessing me with 3 beautiful boys. After he read it, he re-read it...and then looked at me and was like "when she comes out in July I am going to give you this card to look at." I said "well that will be really hard to do..because Riley is coming not Justine." He just looked at me with a very confused look on his face. I handed him the ultrasound pics..I think he was going to start crying!! He was really quiet about it all on Friday night...I figured he was angry that I spent money on this, blah blah blah. Well Saturday night we were talking and he goes on and on about how he is very happy, and he too feels like we are blessed but that he is so sad. He said he never really thought he wanted a baby girl this bad, but all he keeps thinking about is everything he is going to miss out on. **sigh....so this is why I love this man soo much** We talked about all the things that we will get to experience and all the good stuff that we will get to "miss out" on by NOT having girls...and I think it helped us. Now -- I thought for sure I would be on the one having depression and freaking out about this....but turns out I'm good!!! :) I must have really wanted a boy more than a girl.

i'm so proud of you. :) you are such an amazing woman (and mommy and wife!) to see beyond what could have been a disappointment, to what will be a wonderful blessing!!!! part of me grieves the fact that i will never have another newborn son to hold in my arms.....boys just have that magic all their own. :) congratulations, jami!!! i am so, so, so, so beyond happy and excited for you!! :) and i can't wait to meet the newest little mr. marzolf!!! ;D
