This Valentine's Day I spent it with those I love. My hubby (naturally) and my son. I got my usual chocolate (it came in the form of a solid 2 pound chocolate fish from my son. LOL) and the usual cards. I don't get flowers very often. I don't see the point. They die in a week anyway. If I do get flowers, they are usually potted perenials so that I can plant them and enjoy them year after year.
So anyway, this year Monster Jam happened to fall this past weekend. I was not going to take Friday off and Sunday was the Datona 500 (how disappointing that race was this year), so the only option was on Valentine's Day. No biggie. I downloaded all the pictures that were on my camera (I has stuff on there from October!) and deleted them off and charged up my battery. I didn't have this new camera last year when we went and I was eager to try out the video mode as well as snap a bunch of pictures.
I captured three short video clips and I uploaded them to Youtube this morning.
This first one just shows all the trucks entering the arena. Nothing special, but it was loud and you get to see how close we were. We were in row 8 and the first two rows were blocked off, so we were really in row 6. Oh and sorry about the womans head, I was so glad when she left.
This second video shows my favorite, El Toro Loco, racing against The Warrior. The Warrior won, but later on during he finals, when he was going to race Grave Digger, his rear driving broke and he had to withdraw.
And when the Warrior withdrew, El Toro Loco was able to race against Grave Digger, Matt's favorite. Here is that battle.

A Boy with Autonomic Dysfunction - The Miller Family
Our Special Life
Oliver was born after having suffered a stroke while in his mother's womb. The resulting brain injury is called Dysautonomia (Autonomic Dysfunction). His doctors believe the stroke was the result of the miscarriage of his twin. Oliver is completely blind and his underdeveloped brain stem makes basic physical functions a challenge. In spite of all this, he is a happy, go-lucky, 12-year-old boy, and his mom wants people to meet the real Oliver, not just his medical hardships.
