Happiest Mom

 Today is a really happy day for me.  I'm thrilled that all my family took out the time to remember me on the special day of Valentines.  My children remembered me with flowers, candy, valentines and phone calls of love.  It seems the older they get, the more they think of me.

I was called at 9pm on Saturday asking me if I checked my front porch, which I did not.  When I did, I discovered a box of flowers from my youngest child (well, he's almost 28 now) and his girlfriend.  I was so excited, I just took a heart shaped cake from the oven, and with all the conversation we had, I forgot to remove it from the pan, and it ended up to be broken.  Oh well, Brian knows how much I love and appreciate him.

My daughter calls me often (she lives in Oklahoma) and even though she was relinquished to adoption so long ago, she calls me MOM instead of Cindy.  Actually, with all the sweet messages she leaves on my answering machine, I always have a glow about me.  Valentines are on their way to me today, so I have one more day to celebrate!

My oldest son took plenty of sweet poses of myself with my husband that I plan to share here on cafe mom.  We have a wonderful relationship.

I'm blessed with the sweetest man I've ever known.  He goes out of his way to please me, which is something I never enjoyed 'till I married him.  He has his medical problems, but they will be resolved, and everything will be back to normal.  I couldn't want or ask for more than I get from this man.

Lastly, I was challenged to 2 showdowns with a picture of my sailor son and his girlfriend, and I won all of them. 

Yes, I'm blessed, more than I ever dreamed I would be.

Some folks don't even celebrate Valentine's Day, and that's their right, yet we keep up the tradition my father started so long ago in our family, and I know he's happy about that today.

So, here's a wish for you to have all your dreams come true, that all your kids remember you, and if anything negative comes up in your life, count your blessings for THE GOOD THINGS GOD HAS GIVEN US!
