I write this is regards to all those that have posted their videos and anti-religious statements.
My posting is based on history of my own people in our country the United States of America and how we as indigenous people endured very similar attacks about our culture and religious beliefs.
In another posting I was challenged to speak facts about Christopher Columbus, and how as an indengious person viewed My country as being "occupied" I refused based on the original post had nothing whatsoever to do with the history of him.
Some of the facts C.C first landed in what is known as the Bahamas and then traveled to Puerto Rico, he made more than one trip to the New Americas, he made 3 and it is a known fact that he and his crew did not discover a New World that was already inhabited by people. In one of his visits it is documented that his crew while at St Croix experienced their first hostile encounter with Indians.
What followed after C.C visits led to a hidden holocaust in this country wiping out entire tribes, millions of Native people murdered, tortured, raped, loss of land, slavery and military and government involvement to breed out, infest with diseases, and out right murder the indigenous people.
Missionaries traveled by the thousands to the New World to convert these blood thirsty savages ( does this term sound familiar except with a modern terminology?
What many did not realize is that Native religious beliefs and culture go hand in hand, they live as they believe and many still do. The actual difference was not truly religious but that of language barriers and lack of education in customs and cultures. For the record there are some Native American rituals that are still unlawful in this country, one being the ghost dance, don't know the facts about it, go research it !
I can understand from a view point that as a True American how many in other countries believe we are evil, it is in our history. Just as the Europeans did here we are now doing the same in other countries.
WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE THOSE THAT DO NOT BELIEVE AS WE DO ? I do not judge any religion, i am not the Judge to determine who is the right religion and who is the wrong, if there is such a thing.
What I do find radical is right here in CM. Those that stand on their soap boxes promoting their anti religious and intolerance views of others beliefs while hiding behind their religious labels. THIS IS COWARDNESS ! WHAT YOU ARE PREACHING IS NOTHING MORE THAN HATRED TOWARD OTHERS THAT YOU REALLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT EXCEPT THROUGH VIDEOS FROM YOUTUBE, SECOND AND THIRD PARTY OPINIONS., GIVING CREDENCE TO INDIFFENCE. How many really know a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Traditional Native, Atheist, the list goes on and on. So what is the message we are teaching our children, the ignorance of hatred and intolerance of others that do not think nor believe as we do? Because as an adult that is the message I am getting. Is there not enough hate groups in this world already? How many more do we need? We have American born terrorists in this country, born and raised by parents such as some with views as those that are posted.
Why can people not promote tolerance of others beliefs and cultures? Because that means educating yourselves, for many it is easier to take the word of others. I do not believe all people outside my race and religion is terrorists nor evil. I look at individuals and their acts, not the whole bunched up into one group. Little children are innocent where is the evil within them? If nothing else have the compassion for all the children that are suffering at this moment. This country has no comprehension of what kind of suffering is taking place. Most hear about but don't care because it doesn't apply to their comfy life.
There is not one religion nor culture that does not have blood on its hands. It is time we find another approach to end the hatred
I do not believe that many will read this and actually truly read the contents of what I say, nor comment. This is based on all the self rightousness I have seen in the many postings
Comments:
such a simple concept of respect and equality but in my opinion people step on others to make themselves feel better....its all about the superiority complex. No matter what religion, race or whatever you belong to when you use tactics of disrespecting others to prove you right or chosen... they are weak in morals and character.

I love your post! Growing up, my parents always talked about what happened to the Native Americans, they still. How unfair and unjust. Will we ever learn from our mistakes?

I agree with all my being. Very well written. There is a saying going around,"Religion Kills", how true, all we have to do is look at what you have written, and how many here in the USA have been killed in the name of religion. So Many people who's Spirit and very soul have been beaten down by "the tunnel vision" and so called Christians. Thank you for posting this.
