painting...eh, maybe not

i just painted the walls of this room last year. i'm in the kitchen, swilling coffee and thinking, paint, no.  wall paper, um...maybe.  my kitchen is lost in the 90's.  the dining area is a lovely cranberry color, chosen to complement the cranberry, forest and navy wallpaper in teh kitchen part of the kitchen.  erg. i hate that wall paper. i want it so gone. i want to replace the huge leaves of various dark 90's colors with a wallpaper border wiht coffee cups on it and a backsplash made from brownbacked glass tiles.  new cabinets would be nice too but i don't want to get carried away here. i'm just saying.

this wont' happen any time soon or even at all for a while but i keep thinking i could go and get the wallpaper border one roll at a time and just slap it over that leafy stuff.  maybe one day. for now, i'll just do my best to not even look at the walls in here.
