I just got off the phone with the ex. He told me that he is cancelling the hearing. When he went in before for the enforcement hearing, they supposedly told him he had to join Career Link and get a new job or he was going to jail. He told me "I really don't like jail" or something similar and all I could think of was "well then why do you do stuff to get yourself put in there so often" So, he went to join and decided that it just wasn't for him. Instead, he filed for unemployment. Real mature, huh? He had the nerve to complain to me about getting a check for $9. It's not my fault that he took a job knowing fully that he would get laid off. It's not my fault that he has 2 other cases against him. How dare you complain to me? Seriously, when I get $6 for a payment. So anyways, he said he called them yesterday and they told him that if he really wants to cancel it, he had to send in a letter. So I told him, well then you better get it in soon and he was like "the hearing isn't until the 9th" and I was like "yeah and it's pretty close to the end of February and it takes a while to get through the paperwork". What a fricken idiot, he was thinking May I guess and thought he had a lot of time to get it done. Or maybe that was his excuse to not get it done in time. I don't know..
That's about it as far as the hearing is concerned.
But of course he thought he needed to tell me about everything else under the sun. Which always annoys me. If I wasn't concerned with trying to be civil, I would just tell him that I am getting off the phone and then hang up instead of telling him and then listening to him say ok and then ramble on some more.
