So again in class everyone starts talking about their portfolios and all the classes they've taken to teach them how to write lesson plans. Well I've taken none. It's hard to even get night classes that have anything to do with my degree. Please cross your fingers for me that next semester I can get some better classes, even if I have to go all day on Saturday. I don't care how I just want to get through this!! I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. I just want to teach Kindergaten that's all, is that sooo much to ask for? Now I found out that I have to pay a mentor $500 when I start teaching. The girl who brought in her portfolio had all these awards and certificates I have a teachers aide certificate and am almost done with one for child psych. I work full time on top of school full time and don't have any time to spare for clubs. I signed up to be an e-mentor for city kids for next year to try and add something to my resume.
I don't know what to do!! Any Kean University grads here? Or NJ Teachers? Help!!
