Blinded by the Lights

As Americans- we've learned very little in the past decade.

After 9/11 and its horrible tragedies, we were able to look back at the Clinton Administration and see some very tell-tale signs as to ever growing issues and concerns which led to the terrorist attacks. Clinton ignored or belittled many foreign actions which, in turn, turned out very badly for us.

During this time- we were bedazzled by Clinton's affairs and home-front concerns. The president never addressed the issues and the media failed to report on them for the American people to understand.

Again- I understand that hindsight is 20/20... We didn't know. But now we do.

Our focus lately has been on domestic issues and domestic issues alone. The economic concerns here in America have been frenzied upon... leaving the media with little or no time to address any concerns that may be coming from outside of our borders. Sadly, our problems afar have not disappeared because Obama became president. His magic presence has not made the world an instantly happier place.

For those of us that have been paying attention to his foreign affairs, (which is hard to do- since neither he, nor his media outlets report upon them) there are some rather uneasy situations out there that should be raising some eyebrows.

Obama has removed sanctions on Iran and Syria as well as that of any entity that might aid in their production of nuclear weapons.** Now he has opened up dialogue for them to discuss not creating these weapons and to discuss not using them to harm other countries or selling their information/resources to people that might. In doing so- he's given the subtle green light that they can just ignore these talks and do as they will- (and, yes they are!)* †  because, what are we going to do about it?

Obama has not said one word about growing danger in Palestine... neither, in much detail, has the media. We have not been made aware that the Taliban and Al Qaeda have gained control of this country.° Once again... they control a country. Outwardly! These people have sworn to kill us, Americans.

Yes, he has begun diverting troops from Iraq to Afghanistan... but that is a far cry from the promise of him bringing them home. Even he knows we are in a far greater danger than he'll outwardly admit.

We cannot be blinded by the media's nor the President's attempts to forget the outside dangers of the world. Since we cannot rely on the media nor our President... We must keep vigilant in our watch- or fear the blind results witnessed upon us before.

Yes, I am sad to admit, after 30 days in office- this President is all I've feared he would be.

I wish more moms would actually read and educate themselves. Unfortunately, many are content to jsut read a paper, or get the one-sided leftist opinon onf everything and don't bother to do any independanat research for themselves. Well said. Sadly, there will be another attack on America I am sure. Maybe, someday people will learn to actually think for themselves.
