Going WHERE sungreen??
here's an ariel view (from online)
remember now, I live in paradise. No really, I do. I know it & appreciate it.
J.N. Ding Darling is a wildlife refuge on Sanibel Island. It is part of the largest undeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the U.S. It protects our Islands wildlife~ mostly birds (over 200 species) many threatened & endangered. There is also many exotic & native plants, our beautiful alligators & bob cats (at least a couple Florida Panthers still remain too). . . . .
What's crazy is, I haven't been in. . . . oooooh. . . . .22ish years. Yikes! (I of course spend much time on the Island, around & about but to the actual refuge~ yes, it's been a long ass time. I went to elementary school pretty much across a canal from, so really spent a lot of time 'there' but since those days. . . . . not so much. We spent a lot of time in those woods across too!
Tomorrow my daughters gifted class takes a field trip (and I get to go too!) to locate Gopher tortoise's and other wildlife by GPS and other tracking devices. (WoW things have changed since we were kids and said, "Oh, look~ there's a hole") LMAO.
I will bring the camera, and come back with pictures. =)
