10 Questions on Motherhood!
- How old are your children? Matthew is 33 months, Madilyn is 20 months and Baby #3 is due April 17th
- How old were you when you had your first child? 22
- Did you know the sex before you gave birth? yes with the first 2, and no with this one
- Did you and your SO fight over names? Who won? No, we pretty much agreed
- What did you crave most while pregnant? With my first, nothing really. With my 2nd spicy foods and with the third it has been sweets.
- How many diapers do you think you've changed? Too many to count!
How did you react the first time you left your children with someone else? I cried when I had to leave for work the first few times, even though it was just my Grandparents watching him....I was still nervous
- What's the best part of being a mom? I love watching the different stages that my children go through. I also love celebrating the small milestones...and 1/2 birthdays!
- What's the hardest thing about being a mom? The crabbiness (From the kids), and the lack of sleep. I don't think I have gotten more than 6 hours of sleep a night in almost 3 years!
- How many times a day do you hear the word "Mom"? Not too many...my kids still say momma or mommy. I can't hear it enough...it is a dream come true!
10 Questions Just for Fun!
- Where were you born? Do you still live there? I was born in Racine, WI and yes...I still live here.
- Are you an only child? No, I have one sister..she is 8 years older than I am.
- What's your favorite book/TV show/movie/song/color? I used to read the Julie Andrews series (I think) "Flowers in the Attic"..I read them all. My favorite TV show is American Idol, followed by Hells Kitchen and General Hospital. Favorite color is green and my favorite song is " I Cross My Heart" by George Strait...it is our wedding song.
- Who do you most admire? I admire the way that my grandparents live their lives. My grandpa was a boyscout leader, and a Toys for Tots volunteer for most of his life. He served his country and then served his community. My grandma is still a Toys for Tots volunteer and the leader of her craft group at church. They have lived great, inspirational lives, and have taught their families many valuabel lessons...all with out a lecture on the "Right" way to do things. I also admire my mom for fighting her illness for over 13 years, and rarely complaining too much. Even when the MS took away her ability to walk, and forced her into and apartment. A true inspiration.
- What word or phrase do you say constantly? I say Whatever a lot...it gets my husband to leave me alone...as he knows that really means "Just stay away!"
- Where is the furthest place that you've ever been from home? I have been to California, Simi Valley to be specific. That is probably the furthest.
- How many pairs of shoes do you own? Currently I have 2 pairs that I wear all the time, one tennis shoe..and one is actually a slipper. I know that I have a few pairs of flip flops upstairs just waiting for summer, and a pair of black high heels...thats about it.
- Are you are an early bird or a night owl? I am more of a night owl, but the kids like to wake up pretty early...so I don't have much of a choice.
- If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? Right at this current moment...anything sweet. This baby LOVES sweets!
- What's the craziest thing you've ever done? The craziest thing that I have ever done....maybe having my 2 kids 13 months apart? That was quite the experience.
Or maybe it was the last minute trip a few of my friends and I took to Chicago to see a comedy show...only 1 of my friends forgot her ID so they wouldn't let us in. Needless to say..we drove all that way for nothing. I got pulled over for speeding on the way home, at almost 2 AM, and then had to be in to work by 6. It was a long day needless to say!
