okay, recipe name is literally *indian bean and potato thing* ~2 can garbanzo beans, or 4 cups precooked ~1 medium yellow onion ~1-2 tomato (I just used 1) ~1 tbs garlic powder ~1 1/2 tsp salt (I used only a pinch) ~1/8 tsp black pepper ~1/4 tsp red pepper (variation offered by the actual recipe was a whole tsp, I used a whole TBS, and I think it needed the kick) ~1 tsp chili powder ~1 potato ~2 tbs vegetable oil (I used olive oil) ~precook about 1 cup brown rice (about 2 cooked) 1) First I started the rice. That's easy, just follow the directions. 2) sautee onion in oil in frying pan 3) add onion, tomato, garbanzo beans, two cans water, garlic powder, salt, black pepper to large pot on medium high heat and cook 20 minutes 4) add potato, cook 20-25 minutes longer (I did 25) 5) add red pepper, cumin, and chilli powder, reduce to medium low heat, and cook another 5-7 minutes should be thick, if not drain some h2o, mix up with the ruce, and serve like a taco or pita filling now, I was all spaced out so I added all spices when I first put it all in the pot. I would also decrease the water by half a can or one can. tasted fine, but i think adding the spice early is why the extra spice wasn't a killer, if you know what i mean. super good, vegan, kinda romantic, actually
