My almost 7 month old is still not wanting to sleep through the night. He was tossing and turning in bed with me and still eating, breastfeeding, about every three hours. He also won't take a bottle or eat cereal. I tried a different bottle and he will take it for a little bit instead of spitting it out like the other one. I also mix breast milk in with the cereal. I am not planning to totally wean him until he is a year old bt I'm sure that he could use some cereal now and then. Anyone have any pointers that will help?
Comments:
Is he used to just breast feeding? Maybe that's why he's rejecting the bottle? I agree with the above poster too...could be teeth.
sounds to me like he may be cutting teeth. try baby motrin before bedtime
also if you continue to feed him during the night his stomach is used to being full so cut down on the nursing time till you cut it out all together during the night . He is way old enough to sleep 8-10 hours without feeding. the weaning process is slow so don't rush it.
good luck
