Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel brings me back to happy times in my childhood. I remember going over to my grandparents as a little girl and my uncle would have the radio on and the song always seemed to be playing on the radio. My grandfather passed away of cancer. My father left us when we were kids so my Grandfather was like a dad. My grandmother was the sweetest most caring person in the world. I have been blessed to inherit her traits. I was holding her hand when she passed away from congestive heart failure.  My great grandfather was still alive at the times and was staying with my grandparents. So when I here this song I think about when everyone was alive and well and all the fun times and special memories I had  with my family.

What a nice thought. Isn't it wonderful to have good memories to keep us company sometimes? I have been listening to Michael Buble recently, I can't get enough of the man and his voice! He sings so many older songs that remind me of my childhood and black and white movies and my mom and dad playing organ and piano together. I sure do miss those days. BTW, I am Renée and I am from near Traverse City, I see you are from Michigan also. Nice to meet you.
