Gestational Diabetes.

Well I do have gestational diabetes..Yay for me. This is baby 3 and I wasn't diagnosed with the other 2 but they only test you once. This time around i was late getting the test...like 32 weeks before i took it and it turns out i have it, so it made me wonder if I had it with my other 2. My first weighed 9lbs 9oz. My second was 10 days early and weighed 8lbs 12 oz...I have alot of kidney troubles so I guess it is possible, even likely that I had it with my other 2 as well. I have to check my blood sugar when I wake up, 2 hours after breakfast, before lunch, before dinner, and at bedtime. Pretty much before I eat and 2 hours after every meal...it sucks I now get nervous about poking myself...lol. It isn't that it hurts it is just that I know I am going to have to poke myself. If someone else does it it's ok. I'll just get my SO to do it whenevery he is home and it is time. Lol. I need to get up and go get some more testy strip things. I think i'll go do that now.

I'm sorry, I have it it again myself. My 3rd baby and 3rd time with GD, At least you don't have to deal with it for to long. With my first they found out I had it at 10 weeks, with my second 24 weeks and again at 24 weeks this time, so 3 months of diet and poking myself, the hardest thing for me is watching the clock so I don't forget to check, it was way easier with #1 and number 2 I didn't have 2 kids to deal with all the time. Anyway, good luck and hope all goes well.
