I had this idea that possibly has saved my 4 year old from a possible unintended overdose.

On our refrigerator, I put a home-made schedule; Dose, notes, check marks, and time given; no more "Did you give Aiden any cough syrup?", or "Did Aiden get his Afternoon dose of Amox?"
We know now.
The man was LAID OFF...he isn't SUPOSED TO BE HERE ANYWAY...
At least now, the left hand knows what the right hand's doing...
Poor sick kid..
Poor laid off husband trying to help....
Poor household....
UNTIL!!!!
I proudly posted a schedule...with a pen.
No more chaos.
Just sharin'.
I cant be the only one with a sick kid and a laid off husband.
If I am, do I get to go on TV?
Just askin'.
STAY WELL!!!!!
(I need coffee).

That's a great idea. We actually have only one person that administers meds so that we don't double up. It's worked well for us, but if we had more than one kid sick, this would be a very good thing!
We have to do things like this in my house too. I have 3 kids and it seems like they're always sick at the same time. So then DH and i are figuring out doses for each one, who needs what kind of medicine. If they could take their meds at the same time it'd help, but sometimes 1 falls asleep and then you have to wait and it changes the timing. VERY FRUSTRATING! I have to live by charts sometimes!
That chart is too cute. My hubby has done the same thing, thought I was gonna strangle him lol.. Although realizing how blessed we both are to have hubbies that CARE to make sure their children are getting their meds and are feeling better is truly a God send when ya think about it. Look at how many women spend hours at hospitals and doctors offices while dadddy works through it all. sending healing prayers your way. Remember EVERYTHING that has a name has to bow at the name of Jesus and from where I am looking Strep is a name...
We had that problem when my husband went from working 3rd shift (and being here during the day) to working 1st and being gone. Aidan has Asthma and was on Xopenex in the Neb and Predisone. All it took was for me to catch my husband one time trying to give Aidan a dose of the steriod 1 hour after I did it for me to make a chart like that....
With 3 kids and a 4th on its way soon, i will def. keep that in mind for the future
Good for you on the chart!
I did that too in the past after my hubby had his brain surgery. So many pills to track off... ugh. He's fine, they had to remove a tumor, size of a quarter near hearing organ. *whew* Thought it was Bells Palsy in the first place... doh, no, he has a tumor and that's why he lost his facial nerve one side. *sigh*
Good idea! Hope Aiden feels better soon and that Hubby finds something to do! :-)
My dh doesn't bother giving the kids their meds, it's all on me so we don't have that issue but good for your dh for wanting to help, good for you for being so smart and making a chart and awesome for Aiden for having two parents that love him so much they'd almost accidentally overdose him on meds just to help him feel better! lol He's such a lucky kid!! (not being sarcastic!) Love you tons, hope your house is settling down and the illness is subsiding! xoxoxoxoxxo

We do that from time to time, I stay at home with the kids but I do it so I do not forget and dh knows that he has had his meds. I see a doc appt in my future though, ds sounds so bad this morning. He still went to school with his fever free coughing self.
