So Kaylie just hit the 2 year mark....and she had yet to be potty trained. We first started around 18 months because she seemed interested in the potty.

So I thought I would get her a little potty seat and get it started. I didn't want anything with music or fancy buttons for her to push and play with. I thought that would distract her from the actual act of going potty.

She hated it. Would never sit in it. She pretty much gave up going potty altogether! Anytime we asked her if she had to go potty she would say "No...I go diapers I go diapers".

So we gave up for a little while and thought maybe she was just too young.

Well now she's 2...and I really want to get this thing going again. I decided to try a different potty just to see. I bought a fisher price seat that looks like an actual toilet! It flushes, has its own toliet paper holder, and has a sensor in the potty that knows when she actually goes. Then it will commence singing and playing congratulation songs.

I brought it home last week and she just loved it!!! She immediatly wanted to go on it.

So now its been only a week......and last night....she started telling me she had to go!!! She was watching the little mermaid all quietly. Then out of no where she jumps up and says "Momma I go potty.....potty momma!!!" And I took her in there and she went!!!

She did that 3 times last night! I'm so excited!! So not only is she going potty everyday...but she's starting to recognize that she has to go and tells us!

Goodbye diaper buying days!! Hello big girl!
